The Big Island . . .
is over 4,000 sq miles and growing do to volcanic land additions from
Kilauea, the worlds most
active volcano. It's a geographic wonderland housing exhibts as
varied as black-sand
beaches, volcanic rivers,
snow capped mountain peaks, rugged high
cliffs, and Mauna Kea the largest mountain on
earth if you measure from the ocean floor. (33,476 feet vs. Mt.
Everest 29,035 feet). The Big Island is enjoyed for so many of its'
sites; It's magnificent beaches, powerful coastlines, peerless astronomy
and ancient history all come to mind.
